Low Cost Vaccination Clinic
No appointment needed and no exam required for healthy animals.
In recognition of a retired veterinarian from Somers, CT who devoted her life to veterinary medicine, Stafford Veterinary Center hosts a vaccination day on the second Thursday of every month. Vaccination clinic hours are 8am to 7pm to vaccinate and heart worm test your animal companions. No office fee or exam for healthy animals. Cash payments only. Their office is located at 27 Buckley Highway (Rt. 190) in Stafford Springs. Contact their office for more information at 860-684-5868.

Attention HORSE lovers!

The 2nd Annual Equine Wellness Expowill be held on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the UMASS Hadley Farm in Hadley, MA. Observe horses from Blue Star Equiculture Rescue receiving hands-on wellness treatments and watch demonstrations of equine massage, chiropractic, Reiki, Acupuncture, dentistry, natural hoof care and many more!
Dog Licenses
All dogs age six months or older must be licensed in accordance with state law.
The cost is $8.00 for spayed or neutered dogs and $19.00 for intact male or female dogs. A current rabies certificate is required (see Low Cost Vaccination Clinic above).
The Pet Shop
The Pet Shop of Stafford Springs was established in 2005 by owner Nelson Carpentier. After 40 years of animal husbandry with a variety of animals, Nelson's lifelong love and respect for animals led him to open a pet shop which offers quality dog food as well as feed for farm animals, small animals, wild & domestic birds, and fish. A variety of accessories are available for dogs, small animals, birds and fish. The Pet Shop also offers appointments for dog grooming by an experienced, professional groomer.
